DISTRICT 43 PARENT ADVISORY COUNCIL

DPAC43 - NEWS

School District Policy 22

As has been reported in the media, the district has proposed Policy 22 and is seeking input from stakeholders.  This policy is a code of conduct specifically for parents.  The DPAC has provided some feedback on the policy and has indicated that we will not be supporting the policy as it is written.  The DPAC executive is seeking further feedback from PACs in the district, and it is anticipated that this will be presented to the school board at a meeting in the new year.

Please see the attached draft of policy 22 and the response provided by the DPAC, including an outline of the concerns and recommendations that the executive developed.  If you have any questions or if you would like to provide some feedback on this matter, please don’t hesitate to contact the DPAC office or email a DPAC executive.
